Abstract: Islamic groups want Indonesia to be governed based on Daulah Islam. They also are known for their violent actions. Gerber et.al.(2010) said that there are relationship between personality traits and political attitudes. It’s relationship depend on contextual factors. In the present study, we examined the effect of open to experience on Daulah Islam through system threat and Salafi ideology. Regression analysis of the data from 384 members of three Islamic groups who participated in the study showed confirmation of the teoretical model. The effect of open to experience on Daulah Islam is moderated by system threat and Salafi ideology. The implication of these findings for Daulah Islam are discussed.
